Judges, please note the styling.
This style would be "at home"
both in the office, or for a night
out on the town. Locks like # 2's
make a brother want to get to
know a sistah better. The fact that
she also happens to be my wife
only proves this point. Her locks
inspired me to write this poem :
A POEM FOR PARTICIPANT # 2
"beautiful lioness,
one to whom Zora Neale
had no need to implore :
"Jump at de sun!",
grow, lock-like, in
perpendicular lines --
ever upward, ever
deeper.
"keeper, source and
center of the culture,
our Ancestresses adore
you, their mortal likeness."
